Community Program: Strong African American Families (SAAF)

Greetings!
 
My name is Elizabeth and I am the Program Manager for the Strong African American Families (SAAF) Program; a free, evidence-based, culturally relevant program held in Providence. This program is one of many culturally relevant programs in our portfolio at the Children and Youth Cabinet
The program meets in-person once a week and adheres to all Covid guidelines and mandates. SAAF Sessions are usually in the evening, further details below:
    • Program time: typically starts at 530pm in Providence
  • One night per week for 7 weeks
  • Free Dinner, gift cards, and transportation provided
  • Adults who are caregivers to a child aged 10-14 who identifies as African American may attend the group; an adult must attend the program with the child. Extended family members may also attend.
